Creation of CTM

Creation of CTM, a company specialized in radiocommunication.

1980s

Bell Mobility’s first agent in Quebec

CTM becomes Bell Mobility’s first agent in Quebec, initiating sales, rentals, and services related to cell phones. The company later becomes an agent for Motorola’s radiocommunication division.

1990s

Exceptional growth

CTM experiences exceptional growth. The number of branch offices expands to 18, while the team grows from 20 to 350 employees. The company also acquires Bell Mobility Radio’s municipal public-sector client base in Montréal and Quebec City.

2000s

New acquisitions

CTM divests all retail and cellular sales operations with Bell Mobility, refocusing on its core business: radiocommunications. The company now operates three branches, in Montréal, Québec City, and Gatineau. CTM also acquires the assets and client base of Action Solutions Sans-Fil, followed by the acquisition of Communication MS.

2010s

Leader in the industry

CTM strengthens and solidifies its position as a leader in radiocommunications in Québec.

2020s

Development with Motorola

Motorola, CTM’s business partner, diversifies its operations through multiple acquisitions in the security sector. Aligning its business strategy with Motorola, CTM enters the security market with the acquisition of SecuriZone.

2022

Strategic partners

CTM adopts TASSTA and TELOX as strategic partners to deliver cutting-edge, flexible, and high-performance LTE solutions to its clients.

2023

New infrastructure

CTM adopts Motorola’s Capacity Max infrastructure to provide its clients with scalable, reliable, and future-ready communication networks.

2024

Acquisition of SécuriZone

Acquisition of SécuriZone, a company specialising in security.

CTM celebrates 65 years in business, reaffirming its strong and strategic position in the radiocommunications and security markets.

1960
Création de CTM, une entreprise spécialisée en radiocommunication.
Années 1980
CTM devient le premier agent Bell Mobilité au Québec et amorce la vente, la location et les services en lien avec les téléphones cellulaires. L’entreprise devient ensuite un agent de la division radiocommunication de Motorola.
Années 1990

CTM connaît une croissance exceptionnelle. Le nombre de succursales augmente à 18, et le nombre d’employés passe de 20 à 350. L’entreprise fait aussi l’acquisition de la clientèle publique municipale de Bell Mobilité Radio, à Montréal.

CTM se défait de toutes les activités liées à la vente au détail et cellulaire chez Bell Mobilité pour revenir à ses origines : la radiocommunication, avec trois succursales (Montréal, Québec et Gatineau).
